It has been a tough several years. As we emerge from the pandemic and its aftermath, we are entering a new reality. Our jobs have changed. Some are gone forever. Relationships with family and friends have been altered, some damaged. World dynamics have changed. Many people have forgotten how to interact with each other civilly. And while inflation is now trending downward, some things once apart of our lives have become unaffordable, once attainable dreams unthinkable.
As we get our lives back in order and right the ship, it’s the perfect time to apply the discipline of Creative Problem Solving, a proven and time-tested method to meet challenges. It’s key stages are:
1. Clarify: What problems do you face? Identify them. Prioritize. Define the key challenges you must meet.
2. Ideate: What are all the ideas you have to attack the challenge? Stretch your imagination. Then stretch again.
3. Develop: How can these ideas be improved? Did we miss anything? Can we combine, refine, and improve?
4. Implement: Now it’s time to create an action plan and implement it. Take action with a sense of urgency.
